Keynote Speaker: Michael Lee Cook (LMFT), lecturer in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Columbia Theological Seminary and in private practice at Micah Counseling Services where he offers spiritually-integrated psychotherapy and clinical supervision.
Plenary Speaker: Michael Lee Cook, Th.D serves as Lecturer in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. He is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and AAMFT Approved Supervisor in private practice at Micah Counseling Services where he provides spiritually-integrated psychotherapy and clinical supervision. His research and teaching interests include adoption, family studies, leadership and emotional intelligence, interpersonal psychology, pastoral theology, and social constructionism. He is the author of Black Fatherhood, Adoption, and Theology: A Contextual Analysis and Response (2015) and has written peer-reviewed journal articles in the areas of family life and pastoral psychotherapy. Dr. Cook holds the M.Div. from Duke University Divinity School and the Th.D. from Columbia Theological Seminary and has lectured and served as a panelist at a number of academic and professional conferences. Dr. Cook is a Clinical Fellow in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), member in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC), and a member of the Society for Pastoral Theology (SPT). He is ordained in the Baptist tradition and shares an affiliation with the Episcopal Church. Michael was born and raised in Vidalia, Georgia (i.e., “the sweet onion city”) and is married to Crystal Wells Cook. They are the proud parents of Myles and Lauren. In addition, he served honorably in the U.S. Army Infantry Corps, is a veteran of the Gulf War, and enjoys golfing and running.

CEUs
National Certified Counselors have the option to receive between 1 - 3 CEUs depending upon conference attendance. Those attending on both Friday evening and Saturday will have the option to earn 3 CEUs. Those attending only on Saturday will have the option to earn 3 CEUs. The price for CEUs is $25 regardless of the number earned.
